By far the best fish and chips spot in Cape Town. Their fish spice is amazing. Loyal customer since their beginning

We drove all the way from Kuils River to Belgravia for this meal. My husband was reminiscing about his childhood Saturday treats that his dad would bring home a family parcel. We decided to order the same but added the crispy onion rings. Wow! The fish was fresh and the coating crispy. They gave a mix of hake and snoek pieces. The chips were covered is their signature spice. Devine! The Portuguese rolls complement the meal perfectly and the cherry on the cake was the crispy onion rings. Oh my word! Well worth the drive!

The best calamari Gatsby. Fresh fish and tasty chips.

The best fish I've ever tasted, the lady at the till is not so friendly rushes you while you are still trying to decide what you're going to order. Doesn't have patience for customers.

The food is nice. There fisherman spice is legendary

Expect to wait as food is only made to order. Even if you call in ahead of time, you're still going to wait. But the wait is more than worth it. We drive quite a distance for the fish kuite or rather deep fried fish roe. Portions are now R90 or R110 with chips. The calamari burger is a winner too. You have to get Mr Royker's chilli sauce with it at R20 a little tub. Also make sure you get the Royker spice on everything. It is mouthwatering. You can sit inside and eat, but my family and I prefer sitting in the car right outside the shop and eating the food piping hot. The calamari and prawn special is awesome too. Great milkshakes, and don't forget lekker Gatsby's!
